He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and the party high command. Shortly before, Rupani met Governor Acharya Devvrat and submitted his resignation to him.

After resigning, Vijay Rupani said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji has been getting special guidance. Gujarat has touched new dimensions under his leadership and guidance. I also express my gratitude to Prime Minister Modi ji for the opportunity I got to contribute in the last five years. I should move forward in the new leadership with energy and keeping this in mind, I have resigned from the post.

These four names are at the fore in the race for the post of Chief Minister

After the resignation of Vijay Rupani from the post of Chief Minister of Gujarat, now the question is arising that who will be the next Chief Minister of the state? According to sources, four names are leading in the race for the post of Chief Minister. Among these names, the name of Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, who is currently the Health Minister, is also included. Mansukh Mandaviya has been made the Union Health Minister in the cabinet expansion of the Modi government in July itself. The second name is of the current Deputy CM Nitin Patel. He is also running in the race for the next chief minister’s post. Apart from this, two other names include CR Patil and Gordhan Jadafia.

Assembly elections will be held in Gujarat by the end of next year

Assembly elections are going to be held in Gujarat next year in December 2022, before which Vijay Rupani’s resignation from the post of Chief Minister is considered very important. Rupani was present with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a program held on Saturday as Chief Minister. Although this program took place in a virtual way, but PM Modi, Vijay Rupani, Deputy CM Nitin Patel etc. participated in the program. In this program, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated Sardardham Bhawan.

BJP will fight next election with new leadership

According to sources, now with the new leadership BJP is going to contest the next elections in Gujarat. For the past few months, the Aam Aadmi Party is also giving a tough competition to the BJP in the state. The party has strongly surrounded the Rupani government, raising many issues including the second wave of corona virus, while the Congress also performed well in the last Gujarat elections. Since then, Congress workers have also been actively raising issues in Gujarat. Let us tell you that except for a few years, most of the BJP government has been in Gujarat since 1995. The current Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also been the Chief Minister of Gujarat for a long time.

CM has changed in Uttarakhand, Karnataka too

In the last few months, BJP has changed the chief ministers of some states. The Chief Ministers of Uttarakhand were changed twice earlier, while recently Yeddyurappa had to leave the post of Chief Minister of Karnataka. In Uttarakhand, after removing Tirath Singh Rawat from the post of Chief Minister, the central leadership of BJP made Pushkar Singh Dhami as the new Chief Minister. Assembly elections are also going to be held in Uttarakhand next year itself. At the same time, in Karnataka, the party has given the responsibility of Chief Minister post to Basavaraj Bommai in place of Yeddyurappa.
