Tokyo Olympics 2020: Indian women’s hockey team’s hopes up, beat South Africa

The Indian women’s hockey team kept its hopes of entering the Olympic quarterfinals alive by defeating lower ranked South Africa team 4-3 in the last group match.

Vandana Kataria scored three for India, while Neha Goyal scored one goal. Taryn Glasby, captain Erin Hunter and Marijne Marais scored for South Africa.

India will now have to pray that Ireland’s team loses to Britain in the last group match or plays a draw.
