Surya Grahan 10 June 2021: After 148 years on solar eclipse, this wonderful coincidence, when and at what time will it be visible in India

The first solar eclipse of the year is going to happen on 10 June 2021, Thursday. During a solar eclipse (surya grahan), the Moon will be exactly between the Sun and the Earth. The three celestial bodies will be exactly in line with each other. Earlier, the first lunar eclipse of the year took place on 26 May. The solar eclipse on June 10 is also special because the eclipse of Shani Jayanti is also being formed. Let us tell you when and from where you will be able to see the first solar eclipse of the year in India.

At what time will the solar eclipse be visible in India (surya grahan timing in India) – The first solar eclipse of the year will not be visible at all places in India. But this sight can be seen for a very short time at the last minute from the northern borders of Ladakh and Dibang Wildlife Sanctuary of Arunachal Pradesh at around 5:52 pm.

What is a special coincidence – the solar eclipse on June 10 is also special because the eclipse on Shani Jayanti is being formed after about 148 years. Earlier, the solar eclipse on Shani Jayanti happened on 26 May 1873. Please tell that Sun and Shani Dev are father and son.

According to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the solar eclipse on June 10 will look like a ‘ring of fire’. During this time the Moon will block enough rays of the Sun reaching the Earth. In such a situation, for some time the people present on the earth will see the sight of the sun like a shining ring.

When is Ring of Fire formed – Ring of Fire is called annular solar eclipse. This happens when the Moon is unable to cover the entire part of the Sun in its shadow. In this situation some part of the Sun shines from behind the Moon and its view is like a ring burning in the fire. This is what is called Ring of Fire.

Experts say that this wonderful sight of solar eclipse will not be seen in the whole of India. It can be seen only from parts of Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh. This solar eclipse will also be visible from parts of South America, the Pacific, Indian Ocean and Antarctica. Apart from this, people in different places in the country and abroad will be able to see it through live webcam.

Where will the solar eclipse be visible other than India- Apart from some special places of India, this view of the solar eclipse will be visible only from some selected areas of Canada, Greenland and Russia. Apart from this, people will also be able to see it from New York, Washington DC, London and Toronto. More than 70 percent coverage of the solar eclipse will be seen from New York.
