Oil prices will not increase on Thursday
After the continuous increase in the prices of petrol and diesel, the Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) on Thursday did not change the prices of petrol and diesel in the four metros. In such a situation, the price of petrol in the national capital Delhi is Rs 95.56 per liter while the price of diesel was Rs 86.47 per liter.

Similarly, the price of petrol and diesel also remained stable at Wednesday’s level in Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. With crude once again touching a high of around $72 a barrel, oil companies want to wait before revising fuel prices.

Regarding the increased prices of petrol and diesel, Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that the income of the government has reduced a lot. He said that the income has reduced very little in the financial year 2020-21 and it is expected that the same situation will remain in the financial year 2021-22 as well. With the decrease in income, the expenditure of the government has also increased. He further said that the expenditure in the health sector has increased significantly. Not only this, the government is also spending on welfare activities. In view of this, now is not the right time to reduce the price of petrol and diesel.
