39-year-old Singhraj got the second medal in this Paralympics. Earlier, he had won a bronze medal in the 10m Air Pistol SH1. Avani Lekhada also has two medals. Apart from gold, he has won bronze.

In the current Paralympics, India has won 15 medals so far. India now has 3 gold, 7 silver and 5 bronze medals. This is India’s best performance in the history of Paralympics. In Rio Paralympics (2016), India won 4 medals including 2 gold.

In this category, shooters hold pistols with only one hand because they have a deformity in one hand or leg, which occurs due to a spinal injury or limb amputation. Some shooters aim while standing and some while sitting.
