Monsoon Updates: Monsoon knock in Delhi-NCR, rain from Gurugram to Delhi, alert in many states

Monsoon has knocked in Delhi-NCR. According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon has entered Delhi and Gurugram in Haryana. It rained in Delhi-NCR on Tuesday morning due to which a drop in temperature was recorded. Due to this rain and cold winds people got relief from the scorching heat. For the past several days, the heat of summer had made people miserable.

Delhi and adjoining areas were cloudy since morning. Earlier i.e. on Monday, the Southwest Monsoon reached Jaisalmer and Ganganagar in Rajasthan and had scattered over Delhi and Haryana areas. But late in the night it rained in Gurugram and then the cold winds also lowered the temperature of Delhi.

It will rain in these areas

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), South-West Delhi, South Delhi (Jafarpur, Dwarka, Palam, Ayanagar, Deramandi), NCR (Gurugram, Manesar, Ballabgarh), Haryana (Rohtak, Meham, Jhajjar, Farukhnagar, Nuh, Sohana) , Palwal), Kasganj and adjoining areas of UP will see light to moderate rain today.

Due to the rain in Gurugram, many areas got waterlogged. People had to face trouble during the traffic.

Alert in these states

Today there is a warning of heavy to very heavy rain in many parts of the country including Maharashtra. The Meteorological Department has issued red, yellow and orange alerts in different parts in view of the intensity of rain. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir. Orange alert is also for Gujarat, parts of Karnataka and Assam.

There is a yellow alert for Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. There is also a yellow alert in some parts of Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Kerala and West Bengal. There is a red alert of the Meteorological Department for Konkan, Goa and Madhya Maharashtra.

Good weather in Delhi from Monday night

Cold air was blowing in Delhi since Monday night. However, it is true that the wait for the arrival of monsoon was not taking its name for the people of Delhi and till Monday, the residents did not get any respite from the heat. But now people have breathed a sigh of relief due to the rain on Tuesday morning.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted light rain in Delhi on Tuesday. The Meteorological Department had told that there will be moisture in the air in Delhi in the morning and there will be a drop in the minimum temperature. The department had said that the national capital is likely to remain generally cloudy with chances of light rain on Tuesday.

According to the department, the minimum temperature here is expected to be around 25 degree Celsius and maximum temperature around 33 degree Celsius. Meanwhile, there has been rain in the adjoining areas of Delhi including Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh and Karnal in Haryana. Other parts of West Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana also received rain.

In 2002, the monsoon reached Delhi on 19 July. From 2002 to last year, the monsoon had already reached Delhi before July 12.
