Jammu and Kashmir: Terrorist attack in Kashmir just before the second anniversary of abrogation of 370, 3 including policeman injured

Before the completion of 2 years of the end of the special status from Jammu and Kashmir, a terrorist attack has been carried out by terrorists in Khanyar (city) of the Union Territory’s capital Srinagar. 3 civilians including a policeman have been injured in the terrorist attack.

Terrorists attacked a police security party of a political party leader in Siraj Khanyar, Srinagar district of central Kashmir. After the attack, the entire area has been cordoned off and the search operation is going on. This terrorist attack has happened before the completion of 2 years of the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5 from Jammu and Kashmir.

A policeman and two civilians were injured in the firing by terrorists on a police party in Khanyar, a senior police officer said. Official sources said that the soldier was shot in the stomach. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

2 terrorists killed in Awantipora last week

The security system has been tightened before the completion of 2 years of the abolition of Article 370. Last week, two terrorists were killed in Awantipora in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday by army and police personnel in Awantipora in South Kashmir. One of these terrorists was Mohammad Ismail alias Lambu, nephew of Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar.

Ismail alias Lambu was an IED expert. He was involved in the conspiracy of Lathpora Pulwama attack and was also named in the NIA charge sheet. He was also involved in many terrorist attacks.

Last week, terrorists attacked Khanpora Bridge in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday. A grenade was thrown at the CRPF from their side. Four soldiers were injured in this attack.

Not only this, last week a joint team of security forces in the Union Territory had recovered the IED in Kupwara on Sunday. Four Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were found hidden under a large stone in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
