Ghaziabad: SP leader Umaid Pehalwan arrested from Delhi for beating old man

Now all the 11 accused have been arrested in the Ghaziabad incident. Because both have been arrested from Delhi, so now both will be brought to Ghaziabad.

In this case, after the FIR was registered against the wrestler, his last location was seen between Delhi-Noida.

Umaid Pehalwan was on the run for the past several days. Ghaziabad SSP Amit Pathak told that both the accused will be brought to Ghaziabad and they will be interrogated here.

Umaid Pahlava was connected with people through WhatsApp and with the help of that the police was trying to find out his location and as soon as the police came to know about his presence in Delhi, a team of police reached Delhi. He was arrested from near LNJP Hospital. He was covering his face, but the police had solid information, after which he was arrested.

SP leader Umaid Pehalwan, who made the video of Muslim elders viral, also has a long criminal history. In 2017, a local BJP leader from Ghaziabad had lodged an FIR for cow slaughter against Umaid Pehalwan. However, after investigation, the name of Umaid Pehalwan was dropped from the FIR.

A video of Ghaziabad’s Loni area had gone viral, in which some youths were beating up an elderly man. Regarding this matter, the police say that it has been wrongly given a communal color on social media. So far, the police have registered a case against many people including Twitter in this matter.
