BJP leaders reached Chirag’s house on Ram Vilas Paswan’s death anniversary, JDU made distance

Ram Vilas Paswan, former Union Minister and founder of Lok Janshakti Party, had his first anniversary on Sunday. On Sunday, on the first anniversary of Ram Vilas Paswan, Chirag Paswan had organized a program in Patna, the capital of Bihar. Many leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) participated in this program organized by Chirag, while Nitish Kumar’s party Janata Dal United (JDU) distanced itself from the program.

Ram Vilas Paswan’s son and Jamui MP Chirag Paswan had organized the program on the occasion of his father’s first death anniversary, but neither Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reached nor any other leader of his party attended it. Ashraf Ansari, a close aide of Chirag Paswan and spokesperson of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), called Janata Dal United’s Ram Vilas Paswan away from the anniversary program as unfortunate.

Ashraf Ansari said that Chirag Paswan constantly tried to get in touch with Nitish Kumar through the Chief Minister’s Office so that he could be invited to attend this program but it was not possible. He said that the result was that none of the JD(U) representatives attended the first anniversary program of Ram Vilas Paswan. Nitish Kumar paid tribute to Ram Vilas Paswan by issuing only a press release.

Ashraf Ansari said that it is quite unfortunate. Chirag Paswan kept trying to get in touch with Nitish Kumar. There can be differences in politics but there should be no differences. It is sad that Nitish Kumar is not attending the program. On the other hand, almost all the central and state level BJP leaders had reached Chirag Paswan’s residence to pay tribute to Ram Vilas Paswan.

Ashraf Ansari told that on behalf of BJP MPs Ravi Shankar Prasad, Nityanand Rai, Ramkripal Yadav, Sushil Modi as well as almost every minister of BJP quota in Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government, Deputy CM Tarkishore Prasad and Renu Devi, Health Minister Mangal Pandey and Road Construction Minister Nitin Naveen attended.

Tejashwi said – this is Nitish’s personal decision

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has attacked Nitish Kumar for not attending the anniversary program of Ram Vilas Paswan. Tejashwi said that he should have shown courtesy by attending this program. After reaching Chirag Paswan’s house and paying tribute to Ram Vilas Paswan, Tejashwi gave a statement about Nitish.

Tejashwi said that this is his personal decision. No one can force it but he is older than both Chirag and me. He is elderly and was the Chief Minister of Bihar for 15 years. There should have been manners. The Prime Minister also paid tribute to Ram Vilas Paswan but Nitish Kumar paid tribute to Ram Vilas Paswan in only one line. We do not want to do politics on this. This is his personal decision.
