The paying guest raised suspicion to the Aarey police on TV actress Surabhi Surendra Lal Srivastava (25) and Mosina Mukhtar Sheikh (19) of stealing her bundle of money. During the police investigation, the CCTV footage was examined when both the actresses were seen going out.
When the police showed the two CCTV footage in which they were clearly seen carrying the bundle, they broke down and confessed to the crime.
Nutan Power, a senior officer of Aarey Police Station, said that apart from the popular TV shows Crime Patrol and Savdhaan India, she has also worked in many web series. The police have recovered 50 thousand rupees stolen from them. Both were produced in court. The court has sent both of them to police custody till June 23.
